Utica’s Carter Named Rookie of the Week

Freshman defenseman Dalton Carter(Toledo, OH/Northern Cyclones (EHL)) of the Utica College men’s hockey team earned the ECAC West Rookie of the Week honors of his efforts over the course of two conference games against Nazareth this past weekend.

Carter recorded five assists in a 0-1-1 weekend for the Pioneers. He tailed assists in both games, including one to even up the score with 1:28 remaining in the game against Nazareth College Fridau night. Carter tailed three assists in the Pioneers 5-4 loss to the Golden Flyers on Saturday night.

Carter is currently ranked first in all of Division III men’s hockey with an average of 2.67 points per game.

The Pioneers next play on the road at Elmira College on Friday, November 14 at 7 p.m.
