Seventeen members of the William Smith College ice hockey team were named to the 2019-20 United Collegiate Hockey Conference All-Academic team. It’s the most all-academic honorees in the program’s six-year history
To be eligible, a player must spend a minimum of one academic year at her present institution, while maintaining a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average based on their course load for the 2019-20 academic year. The following Herons earned a spot on the team:

- First-year Izzy Friedman, undeclared

- First-year Lauren Jackson, biology major
- Junior Jules Kennedy, economics and sociology double major
- Senior Kate Klimaszewski, economics and media & society double major
- Junior Marykate Martino, media & society major
- Senior Morgan McMinn, political science major
- Junior Julia Mings, psychology major
- Junior Lexi Nottke, media & society major
- Senior Gina Scibetta, media & society major

Kennedy, Nottke, Scibetta, Weiss and Williams earned all-academic honors for the third time in their careers.
William Smith finished the 2019-20 season with an 18-9-0 overall record. The Herons were 13-3-0 in the UCHC, finishing tied for second in the North Division. William Smith advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament for the third straight year.
