COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey today announced the 29 players that have been invited to the USA Hockey Women’s National Team Off-Ice Training Camp from June 1-5 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The camp is primarily focused on strength and conditioning, nutrition and mental skills.
Highlighting the roster for the training camp are 21 members of the U.S. Women’s National Team that won the gold medal at the International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship in April and 17 players that won the Four Nations Cup in November.
Of the 29 players on the roster, 22 took part in last year’s camp, 26 are world champions and 13 are Olympians. The 13 members of the silver medal-winning 2014 U.S. Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team are Kacey Bellamy (Westfield, Mass.), Megan Bozek (Buffalo Grove, Ill.), Alex Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.), Kendall Coyne (Palos Heights, Ill.), Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.), Meghan Duggan (Danvers, Mass.), Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho), Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson (Grand Forks, N.D.), Monique Lamoureux-Morando (Grand Forks, N.D.), Gigi Marvin (Warroad, Minn.), Anne Schleper (St. Cloud, Minn.), Kelli Stack (Brooklyn Heights, Ohio) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.).
NOTES: Reagan Carey (Colorado Springs, Colo.), USA Hockey’s director of women’s hockey, will oversee the camp along with head scout Matt Kelly (Hope, R.I.), head coach Ken Klee (Denver, Colo.) and assistant coaches Robb Stauber (Medina, Minn.) and Brett Strot (Tampa, Fla.).
