Wilkes-Barre, PA – Seven different Roos found the back of the net in a convincing 7-1 win at Wilkes University on Friday as Tia Tassava tallied her first career point.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SUNY Canton dominated the first and second periods outscoring Wilkes 5-0 while the defense allowed just seven shots on goal over the two periods.
Sarah Kosnaskie, Hannah Brady, and Grace Page each picked up a goal in the first period. Noelle Niemiec, Emily Dolphin, Alexa Parigi, Breanna Bedborough and Brady earned assists.
In the second, Niemiec and Bedborough each scored a goal as the Roos led 5-0 after 40 minutes.
Wilkes added their lone goal in the third on a Nicole Longboat shot, but the Roos responded with a Lily Cullen goal. On the assist to Cullen’s goal, Tia Tassava tallied her first career point for the Roos. With just 40 seconds left in the game, Ashley Gillies found the back of the net off a pass from Cullen leading to the 7-1 final.
In the victory, SUNY Canton tallied 57 shots on goal while goalie Brooke Susac made 11 saves on the evening.
