ROCHESTER, NY — Nine RIT men’s hockey players earned 2015-16 Atlantic Hockey Conference All-Academic team honors on Thursday, June 23. Out of the nine players selected, three are repeat honorees, including Alexander Kuqali (Pittsburgh, PA/Sioux City Musketeers) and Dan Schuler (Webster, NY/Powell River Kings), who were both honored for the fourth time.
In its 13th year of existence, Atlantic Hockey has continued its high standard in the classroom for student-athletes, as a record 209 earned a spot on the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team. Six AHC student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA in 2014-15.
To qualify for the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team an individual must post a 3.0 grade point average or higher in all of the academic periods during which his team was actively competing.
