Josephine Pucci, Pearl River, has been named to the U.S. Women’s National Team that will play in the Four Nations Cup in November.
Pucci, a senior at Harvard, helped Team USA to a gold medal at the 2011 Four Nations Cup. She was named a 2012 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award nominee and received All-ECAC second team accolades and was a finalist for league Best Defensive Defenseman Award.
Prior to attending Harvard Pucci as a four-year defenseman on the varsity hockey team and served as captain in her senior year at Choate Rosemary Hall. She was a member of the Mid Fairfield Connecticut Stars which took silver in 2005 and bronze in 2008 and 2009 at the USA Hockey Nationals, She captained the 2009 team.
The Four Nations Cup will be played November 5 through 10 in Vantaa and Kerava, Finland. Prior to the start of the tournament, the team will participate in a training camp at the New York Rangers’ Madison Square Garden Training Facility in Tarrytown, New York October 30 through November 4.
The camp will include 12 players from the team and select skaters from the 2012 U.S.Women’s U18 Select Team player pool.
The Four Nations Cup is an annual tournament featuring the four top women’s ice hockey teams in the world–the U.S., Canada, Finland and Sweden.
