RYE, N.Y. – Due to damage sustained at the Playland Ice Casino in Rye, N.Y. caused by Hurricane Sandy this past week the Manhattanville women’s ice hockey games have been relocated as road contests on Friday and Sunday.
The Playland Ice Casino in Rye, N.Y., was hit hard by the storm, with 4 feet of water in the basement where the ice-making plant is located, according to White Plains Patch.
The Valiants’ home opener, which was slated for Friday evening against UMass Boston, will now be played on Friday at the Clark Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts at 4:00 p.m.
The second home game that was originally slated for Saturday afternoon against the St. Anselm Hawks, has now been pushed back to Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Sullivan Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire.
