In the March Classic Tournament at Leisure Rinks this past weekend, the Pee Wee Minor team was named Champions!! They came so close in all three of their previous tournaments, and through their hard work had an amazing weekend!
Led by their current team captain, Michael Naples, the boys played 5 tough games. Their games started Thursday night with a 4-2 win over the Southtowns Stars (Cione). Friday night they faced Southtowns Stars (Bernard) and lost 3-2. Saturday brought a 2-2 tie against Fredonia, and a long night waiting to find out where they placed. On Sunday, the boys faced Southtowns (Cione) again, and won 4-2. Later that day, they faced Southtowns Stars (Bernard) in the finals and won 3-2!!
This is the first tournament the boys have won as a team, and were so excited to get their gold medals and trophy!
Michael Naples was named as MVP of the tournament due to his hard work, dedication and leadership!
