The Buffalo Sabres were defeated by Tampa Bay 3-2 in overtime at First Niagara Center last night.

Tampa Bay’s Alex Killorn backhanded one past Jhonas Enroth at 1:50 of the overtime period.

With no score going into the seond period, Buffalo’s Cody Hodgson dumped in the first score of the night. That was followed by Tampa Bay’s Nate Thompson scoring. The final second period tally would come from Buffalo’s Jamie McBain. That put Buffalo up 2-1 going into the third.

Teddy Purcell tied up the score sending it into overtime.

Enroth made 34 saves on the night.
