ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester Junior Americans Elite and Empire teams will be battling for first place in their respective divisions of the United States Premier Hockey League as they play host to the New Jersey Hitmen this Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24, at the Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex.

The Junior Americans Elite team (14-2-0-1, 29 points), winners of seven of their last eight games, will face off against the Hitmen Elite team (14-5-0-2, 30 points) for first place in the USPHL Elite Division Northern Conference. The Hitmen lead the Elite Northern Conference with 80 goals scored, while Rochester has allowed only 30 goals, best in the entire USPHL Elite Division.

The Elite teams will play at 8:30 PM on Saturday, followed by a 10:50 AM contest on Sunday.

The Empire matchup will see the first-place Junior Americans (15-2-0-0, 30 points) look to extend their lead in the Northern Conference over the Hitmen (13-4-0-1, 27 points). Rochester has won 11 of their last 12 games to take the top spot in the Empire Division. It should be an explosive matchup, as both teams are tied for first throughout the Empire Division with 98 goals scored.

The Empire teams play at 6:00 PM on Saturday and 12:00 PM on Sunday.

Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for adults, and $2 for seniors and students. Children under 12 are admitted free.
