Fourteen members of the Hobart College hockey team earned a spot on the 2013-14 ECAC West All-Academic Team.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least one full academic year at his current institution and possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The following Statesmen were named to the 2013-14 ECAC West All-Academic Team:

Junior Bronson Kovacs (Sault Ste Marie, Ontario), sociology and anthropology major
Junior Mike Malady (Media, Pa.), public policy major
Junior Brad McBride (Lone Tree, Colo.), economics major
Junior Terrence O’Neill (Kearny, N.J.), economics major
Junior Sean Rudy (Long Sault, Ontario), English/teacher education program
Junior Peter Ryan (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), economics major
Junior Robert Sovik (Prague, Czech Republic), economics major
Junior Tommaso Traversa (Torino, Italy), economics major
Sophomore Lino Chimienti (Montreal, Quebec), economics major
Sophomore Ben Gamache (Longlac, Ontario), environmental studies major

Fiorentino and Riley garnered the academic accolade for the third straight year, while Traversa, O’Neill, Kovacs and Ryan earned spots on the team for the second straight year.
The Statesmen finished the season with a 14-9-4 overall record and advanced to the ECAC West tournament semifinals. It was Hobart hockey’s 12th consecutive winning season.
