COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Twenty-two American officials are serving as referees or linesmen for major International Ice Hockey Federation events in 2014-15, USA Hockey announced today.

“We have a very strong group of officials that have been selected to represent USA Hockey on the international stage,” said Matt Leaf, director of USA Hockey’s officiating education program. “They’ve all worked diligently to earn the right to officiate at the highest level.”

American officials are taking part in 13 IIHF events this season, including the recently held IIHF World Junior Championship in Toronto and Montreal, Canada, and the IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championship in Buffalo, New York, as well as the upcoming IIHF Women’s World Championship in Malmo, Sweden, and IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship in Zug and Lucerne, Switzerland.

Assignments for the 2015 IIHF Men’s World Championship in Prague and Ostrava, Czech Republic will be determined in late February.

Officials assigned to the IIHF events this year include Geoff Miller (West Newbury, Mass.), Steve Patafie (Bethlehem, Ga.) and Judson Ritter (Bethlehem, Pa.) who served at the 2015 IIHF Men’s World Junior Championship; and Jerilyn Glenn (St. Paul, Minn.), Jackie Spresser (Westminster, Colo.) and Jessica LeClerc (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) who officiated at the 2015 Under-18 Women’s World Championship.
