CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a game that featured three lead changes, Union pulled out a 5-4 win over fourth-ranked Harvard in ECAC Hockey action Friday evening from the Bright-Landry Hockey Center. With the win, Union improved to 7-2-1 on the road this season and extended its unbeaten streak against Harvard to 11 games (9-0-2).

Union wasted little time getting on the board, as Daniel Ciampinistruck just 21 seconds into the game, tapping in a pass from Jeff Taylor. The Crimson responded at the 2:47 mark on Kyle Criscuolo’s 11th goal of the season. Jimmy Vesey assisted on the play to extend his points streak to 19 games.

The teams produced five goals in a wild second period. Scoring for Union were Theo Di Pauli von Treuheim (first of the season), Matt Wilkins and Ciampini (his second of the game) while Jake Horton and Jimmy Vesey lit the lamp for Harvard.

Mike Vecchione provided the game-winning goal in the third period, buring a slapshot from the left circle that found the upper corner of the net and the water bottle.

Harvard finished with a 30-26 edge in shots and allowed one power play opportunity in a game that had just three total penalties.

Matt Wilkins appeared in his 100th career game …Ciampini has 16 goals in 11 games and 10 points (5-5) in his last two contests … Jeff Taylor has recorded seven assists in three games.

Union travels to Dartmouth for a 7 p.m. faceoff tomorrow night at Thompson Arena.
