LOCKPORT, NY – With five minutes to go in regulation time in the third period, the Lockport Express held a three-goal lead on the Wilkes-Barre Miners. But as the Express would find out, no lead is ever safe.

As hard as it would be to believe, with just a little over a minute remaining in regulation, the Miners had tied the game at 6-6.

Finally, less than five minutes into OT the Miners scored the game-winning, as well as playoff series ending, goal. The first season of the Express is officially over, ending on home ice at Cornerstone Arena.

Goal scorers for the Express included Anthony Merante (who scored twice), Daniel Golba, Dillon Hayes, Justin Durkee and Ryan Logar.
