Jersey Shore’s Frederic Ampleman scored 25 seconds into overtime to beat Lockport, 5-4 (OT).

Jersey Shore came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Jersey Shore fell behind 4-2 after a goal by Lockport’s Dylan Jenkins at 11:50 in the third period. Jersey Shore knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Freddie Schaljo at 12:00 in the third period.

Ampleman was all over the ice for Jersey Shore, as he tallied two goals in the win.

Jersey Shore put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Lockport to score on any of its five power plays. Jersey Shore kept Lockport’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Sal Stalteri made 60 saves on 65 shots. Jersey Shore could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Jersey Shore also got points from Schaljo, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Jersey Shore included Christian Cooley and Bogdan Khvatov, who each put in one. More assists for Jersey Shore came via Ben Wingbermuehle, Jared Karas, Travis Valvo, Marcus McCall, and Craig Berry, who each chipped in one.

Lockport’s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Jersey Shore power plays. Lockport forced Jersey Shore goalie Breadan Colgan to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Lockport could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lockport also had goals scored by Frank II Vecchio and Christopher Gasiewicz, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lockport received assists from Ryan Logar, who had two and Justin Durkee, Sam Rydzewski, and Mark Friol, who contributed one each.
