CANTON, N.Y.—Taylor Pryce (Newmarket, ON/Cardinal Carter) exploded for six points and Buffalo State blasted host SUNY Canton, 10-1, for its first win of the season tonight in a non-conference contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pryce finished with three goals and three assists to lead the Bengals attack.
Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS) and Jake Rosen (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) had two goals and two assists apiece.
Sean Hrivnak (Laval, QC/College Laval) chipped in a goal and an assist, and Jason Zaleski (Scranton, PA/Scranton) and Brett Hope (Blenheim, ON/Blenheim) also scored.
Todd Graham (Melbourne, Australia) dished out three assists, and Anthony Beaumont (Lester, PA/Interboro) and Nick Berst (Depew, NY/Lancaster) added two assists
Buffalo State jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead and never looked back. The Kangaroos got on the scoreboard late in the first period, but the Bengals put the game away with three more goals in the second period and added three more in the third.
Canton was credited with a 27-26 advantage in shots. Both teams were unsuccessful on the power play, with the Bengals going 0 for 5, and the Kangaroos finishing 0 for 4.
Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) allowed one goal on 17 shots, before Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) stopped all 10 shots he faced in his first action of the season.

NOTEWORTH
The victory was the first for interim head coach Steve Murphy.
Buffalo State scored just six goals in its first four games before breaking out for 10 this evening.
