Sal Stalteri was superb between the pipes for Lockport, as he did not allow a goal in a 5-0 victory over Roc City.
Lockport pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 38 penalty minutes.
Lockport stifled Roc City’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lockport’s offense rang up 37 shots on Roc City’s net.
Lockport was helped by Devin Kasperek, who grabbed one goal. Kasperek scored 11:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lockport. Justin Durkee provided the assist. Lockport also had goals scored by Ryan Logar, who had two and Fankie Bodami and Joseph Como, who each put in one. In addition, Lockport received assists from Dylan Jenkins, who had one.
Roc City could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Roc City puts an average of 3.7 pucks into the net per game. Roc City kept Lockport’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Stalteri made 49 saves on 49 shots. Roc City could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game. Roc City got its opportunities on the power play, but did not convert any of its 13 chances.
