After a three game losing streak which saw them struggle to score, the Pride exploded for five first period goals, including two from Jillian Dempsey en route to a 7-6 win over the Buffalo Beauts. Hilary Knight, Jordan Smelker, Emily Field, Rachel Llanes and Amanda Pelkey also lit the lamp for Boston, which moved to 4-3-0 on the season.
Devon Skeats, who was named the NWHL’s Player of the Week on Wednesday, continued her hot streak, scoring Buffalo’s first hat trick in franchise history.
Boston outshot Buffalo 50-21.
