Jordan Pocobello gave Lockport a 6-5 (OT) victory over Roc City when he scored 3:06 into the extra period.
Lockport got the win behind a great game by Ryan Logar, who had two goals and two assists. Logar scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:32 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lockport. Mark Friol provided the assist. Logar’s next tally on the power play made the score 3-1 Lockport with 16:07 left in the second period. Friol picked up the assist.
Lockport kept Roc City’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Nevinger made 59 saves on 65 shots.
Lockport also got points from Friol, who also had one goal and three assists and Dylan Jenkins, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Frank II Vecchio also scored for Lockport. Other players who recorded assists for Lockport were Christopher Gasiewicz, who had three and Justin Andriaccio and Josh Evoy, who contributed one each.
Roc City forced Lockport goalie Tim Schiess to work between the pipes, taking 61 shots.
Roc City was helped by Brandon Corey, who registered two goals and one assist. Corey scored the first of his two goals at 14:30 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Lockport. Anthony DePetres provided the assist. Corey’s next tally made the score 5-4 Roc City with 2:00 left in the third period. Cameron Clark assisted on the tally. Roc City additionally got points from Clark, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Matt Corey, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. In addition, Roc City received assists from Aidan Conolly and Justin Allen, who each chipped in one.
