CANTON, N.Y.—Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) made 27 saves and four different Bengals scored as Buffalo State completed the weekend sweep at SUNY Canton today with a 4-0 victory in a non-conference game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Silva’s second shutout of the season included a 13-save second period.
Brooke Krantz (Penticton, BC/Penticton) finally opened the scoring midway through the second period with her second goal of the season.
Buffalo State put the game out of reach with three goals in the final frame, including Erin Gehen’s (West Seneca, NY/W. Seneca West) team-leading 12th of the year.
Rachel Lenard (Orchard Park, NY/Nardin) pushed the lead to 3-0 and then freshman Madeline Kromer (Angola, NY/Lake Shore) netted her first collegiate goal to complete the scoring.
Emma Ruggiero (Amherst, NY/Sacred Heart) had a pair of assists for Buffalo State.
The Bengals posted a narrow 28-27 advantage in shots, and neither team could capitalize on the power play. Buffalo State was 0 for 6, and the Roos were 0 for 5.

Illie Berisha finished with 24 stops for Canton.

Buffalo State has recorded double-digit victories for the season for the second-consecutive year and just the third time in school history. The other was 2000-01 when it set a school record with 11 wins.
