At the game on Friday, March 25, the Utica Comets will be giving fans the opportunity to own a piece of Comets history by holding an in-game silent auction of eight different jerseys that highlight a celebrated moment in time from the team’s first three seasons. Proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit the Save of the Day Foundation.
Highlighting the eight jerseys is forward Darren Archibald’s blue game-worn inaugural season jersey. Also included in the jersey auction will be Cal O’Reilly’s Sheriff’s Night jersey, worn on March 2, 2014, a team-signed Western Conference American Hockey League jersey, Andrey Pedan’s Calder Cup Finals jersey, Jeremie Blain’s (#5) white 2013-14 Pink the Rink, Patrick Kennedy’s (#44) 2014-15 Military Appreciation Night jersey, and a no-namebar #13 2013-14 St. Paddy’s Day jersey.
The auction will take place next to the Fan Zone, located behind section 204, and will begin when doors open for Friday’s Comets game vs. the Hershey Bears. The silent auction will conclude with 10 minutes left in the third period, and winners will be announced on the videoboard towards the end of the game.
