BROOKLYN (April 10, 2016) – The National Hockey League announced the schedule for the first round of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Islanders will host Games 3 and 4 of their seven-game series against the Florida Panthers on Sunday, April 17 at 8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 20 at 8 p.m. at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Game 6, if necessary, is set for Sunday, April 24 in Brooklyn (time to be determined if necessary).
Tickets for all three first-round playoff games at Barclays Center are now available for purchase at islanders.nhl.com. The Islanders reached the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs by finishing with a 45-27-10 record and 100 points. It’s the franchise’s third playoff appearance in the last four seasons.
The Islanders’ 2016 first-round series opens with two games at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida on Thursday, April 14 at 8 p.m. and Friday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. If necessary, Florida will host Game 5 on Friday, April 22 and Game 7 on Tuesday, April 26 (time to be determined if necessary).
