The NHL playoffs are like nothing else. The passion, the excitement and, of course, the playoff beards. In keeping with a great hockey tradition and supporting a worthy cause, the Rangers again invite their fans to “grow one for the team” this playoff season.
Participants in the Rangers Beard-a-Thon invite family, friends, and business associates to pledge their playoff beards. By joining the Rangers Beard-A-Thon, fans agree to grow their beard as long as the Rangers remain in the playoffs. Fans who are unwilling – or unable – to grow a playoff beard, can also pledge their friends or various Rangers alumni beards.
All net proceeds from the Rangers Beard-a-Thon will benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that works with The Madison Square Garden Company and MSG Networks Inc. to positively impact the lives of children facing obstacles.
Growing your beard and raising money gives you the opportunity to earn one-of-a-kind Rangers items at different levels of fundraising. Keep on growing! Reach the various levels of fundraising below and you will earn the corresponding prize each time*:
$50 or More: Photo card autographed by a member of the 2015-16 Rangers team
$200 or More: Rangers Playoff t-shirt and non-game used hockey puck autographed by a member of the 2015-16 Rangers team
$500 or More: Non-game used hockey stick autographed by a member of the 2015-16 Rangers team
$1,000 or More: Replica, non-game worn jersey autographed by a member of the 2015-16 Rangers team
$2,500 or More: Winner and guest will have the opportunity to watch a private team practice during the 2016-17 Rangers Season
GRAND PRIZE (Given to the one person that raises the most money): Two (2) tickets to a 2016-17 Rangers game, a post-game Locker Room visit and a non-game worn jersey autographed by select members of the 2015-16 Rangers team
