Amerks Sign Clarkson’s Paul Geiger To AHL Contract

(Rochester, NY) – The Rochester Americans announced that the team has signed defenseman Paul Geiger to a one-year American Hockey League contract.
Geiger, 23, completed his four-year college career at Clarkson University last season, recording 13 points (5+8) and six penalty minutes while serving as team captain for the second straight year. Geiger then signed an Amateur Tryout (ATO) with the Albany Devils at the end of the 2015-16 regular season and appeared in nine AHL games, recording two points (1+1) and making his professional debut on March 20.

In four seasons at Clarkson University, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Stouffville, Ontario, registered 51 points (13+38) and 70 penalty minutes in 150 games.
