ROCHESTER, NY — Fourteen members of the RIT women’s hockey team earned 2015-16 College Hockey America All-Academic team honors, announced by the league on Wednesday, June 22. This season, 88 student-athletes among the league’s six schools earned a spot on the All-Academic Team.
Four student-athletes earned additional distinction as the CHA Student-Athletes of the Year by earning the highest grade-ponint averages.
To qualify for the College Hockey America All-Academic Team an individual must post a 3.0 grade point average or higher in all of the academic periods during which her team was actively competing.
The Tigers finished the 2015-16 season with eight victories. RIT won the CHA Championship in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
