AHL All-Star Kostka Re-Signs Two-Way Deal With Ottawa

BINGHAMTON, NY – The Ottawa Senators announced today that AHL All-Star defenseman, Michael Kostka, has signed a one-year, two-way contract. The contract will carry an annual value of $800,000 in the National Hockey League and $325,000 in the American Hockey League.

This past season with the Binghamton Senators, Kostka appeared in 50 games, scoring five goals and assisting 29 more. The 30-year-old
represented Binghamton at the 2016 Toyota All-Star Classic in Syracuse, NY.

Kostka played in 15 games with Ottawa during the 2015-16 season, recording one assist and four penalty minutes.

In 85 career NHL games with Ottawa, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks, Tampa Bay Lightning, and New York Rangers, Kostka has scored four goals and earned 17 assists, while adding 39 penalty minutes. In over 456 AHL appearances, he has 244 points (47 goals, 197 assists) while registering 270 penalty minutes.
