Buffalo, NY — Brianne McLaughlin has signed a contract with the Buffalo Beauts for the 2016-17 season, General Manager Ric Seiling announced Sunday. McLaughlin and the Beauts agreed to terms on a one-year, $17,000 contract.
“Brianne was an integral part of our playoff run last year,” said Seiling. “We look to her to bring that solid finish from last year to the Beauts again.”
McLaughlin played in all 18 regular season games with the Beauts last season, posting a 4-6-0-3 record, 3.34 GAA, and .907 SV%. She played in all 5 Isobel Cup Playoff games with the Beauts, where she had a .914 SV% and 2.60 GAA.
With USA Hockey, McLaughlin played three Four Nations Cup tournaments and three IIHF World Championships. She helped win a silver medal at the 2010 and 2014 Olympic Games.
Restricted free agency began on April 1 and lasted until April 30. Free agency began May 1 and lasts until July 31. The 2016 NWHL Draft was on June 18.
