Philly To Host 2016 US Hockey Hall of Fame Induction on Nov. 30

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the first time ever, Philadelphia will be the site of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Celebration, it was announced today by USA Hockey. In cooperation with the Philadelphia Flyers and Atlantic District of USA Hockey, the 2016 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Celebration is set for Nov. 30 in the City of Brotherly Love.

The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2016, which includes Bill Belisle, Craig Janney and the 1996 U.S. World Cup of Hockey Team, will be formally enshrined at the event.

“We’re excited to bring the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Celebration to Philadelphia,” said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. “It’s one of our nation’s very top hockey cities, thanks in large part to the late Ed Snider, and fans in the area will enjoy being part of enshrining the Class of 2016. This is always one of the most anticipated events on the calendar each year and we’re grateful to the advance support we’ve received from the Flyers and our Atlantic Affiliate.”

Ticket information and the exact location and time of the Induction Celebration will be released next month.
