B-Sens Recall Rumble, Sign Grant To PTO

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators, American Hockey League affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators, announced today that defenseman Chris Rumble has been recalled and forward Triston Grant has been signed to a professional tryout contract from the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Wichita Thunder.

Rumble, 26, is in his second full professional season after three years at Canisius College. In three games with the Thunder this season, Rumble has three points (2g, 1a). During the 2015-16 season with the Evansville IceMen, Rumble scored 11 goals and 28 assists in 64 games.

Grant, 32, joins the B-Sens after appearing in two games this season with the Wichita Thunder. The native of Neepawa, Man. played eight games with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2006-07 and three games with the Nashville Predators in 2009-10. Grant’s most productive professional season came in 2014-15 when he recorded 26 points in 73 games played with the Milwaukee Admirals. Grant was Philadelphia’s ninth-round pick (286th overall) in the 2004 NHL Draft.

The B-Sens prepare for a three-game weekend beginning Friday at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton before returning home on Saturday to face Rochester at 7:05 p.m. On Sunday, Binghamton is on the road in Springfield at 5:05 p.m.
