HARTFORD, Conn.—Buffalo State evened the score with less than six minutes remaining, but host Trinity scored with just 1:43 left this evening to earn a 3-2 non-conference victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trinity opened the scoring less than four minutes into the game with a power-play marker.
Bri Carroll (Peoria, AZ/AZ Virtual Academy) got the Bengals on the board with her first of the season midway through the frame with assists from Natasha Steinle (Morrison, CO/CIHA) and Christine Harris (Mountain Top, PA/Wyoming Seminary).
The Bantams scored the only goal of the second period to take a one-goal lead into the final stanza.
Steinle evened the score for the Bengals with her first collegiate goal with just 4:45 remaining with assists from Harris and Hannah Tarr (Los Angeles, CA/Taft).
Trinity took its third and final lead of the game with less than two minutes left, however, and held on for its first win of the season.
Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) finished with 30 saves as the Bengals were outshot, 33-30.
FOR THE FOES
Kelcie Finn, Tasha Adams and Alex Wallin scored for Trinity.
Jess Thulin made 28 saves in the win.
