Team USA Defeats Canada In SO To Win World Jr. Championship

Troy Terry (Highlands Ranch, Colo./University of Denver) netted the shootout winner for the second straight game as the U.S. National Junior Team topped Canada, 5-4, to win the gold medal at the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship. Goaltender Tyler Parsons (Chesterfield, Mich.) stopped all five Canada shots in the shootout and made 46 total saves in the game.

Kieffer Bellows (Edina, Minn./Boston University) scored twice for Team USA. Charlie McAvoy (Long Beach, N.Y./Boston University) and Colin White (Hanover, Mass./Boston College) also tallied.

Tyler Parsons (Chesterfield, Mich./London Knights) finished with 46 saves.
