AMHERST – Mary Kromer and Frangelica Bautz each scored two goals to lead Orchard Park/Frontier/Lakeshore to a convincing 7-1 victory over Lancaster/Iroquois/Depew Tuesday night at The Northtown Center at Amherst. The game was part of the opening round playoff series for the Western New York Girls Varsity Ice Hockey League.
LID opened the scoring with a goal by Jersey Phillips just :46 into the game. But it was all OPFL after that.
Kromer tied the score for OPFL three minutes later, 1-1 with assists going to Emily Kromer and Riley Johnson. Jessica Peters put OPFL ahead to stay10 minutes later with assists going to Meghan Roche and Gabriella DeMeo.
Grace Hennigan rounded out the scoring for OPFL a little over a minute later to make the score, 3-1. Maeve Hourihan got the assist.
It was OPFL scoring three more times in the second period. The goals were scored by Kromer (assists going to DeMeo and Emily Kromer), Hourihan (unassisted) and Bautz (assist going to Meghan Roche).
Bautz rounded out the scoring for OPFL in the third period with an unassisted goal.
