Hamilton College’s Katie Parkman ’17 (Stratford, Prince Edward Island/Brewster Academy [N.H.]) was selected the NESCAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 13.

The NESCAC player of the week award is the second for Parkman. She received the same honor on Jan. 12, 2015.

Parkman figured in three of the Continentals’ four goals in the team’s first season sweep of Amherst College since 2002-03. She scored goals with 1:46 left and 33 seconds remaining in the third period of Friday’s 3-2 overtime win. Parkman was credited with the secondary assist on Hamilton’s goal in Saturday’s 1-0 victory. The Continentals have set a program record with 14 wins this season.

Parkman is fourth in the conference with 21 points, tied for sixth with nine goals and tied for fourth with 12 assists. She has 31 goals and 33 assists for 64 points in 79 career games.

Hamilton (14-6-2, 9-4-1 NESCAC) is ranked eighth in this week’s USCHO.com Division III Top 10 poll and ninth in the D3hockey.com Top 10 poll. The Continentals — tied for first in the conference standings — wrap up the regular season with NESCAC games at Connecticut College on Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18.
