ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore goaltender Terra Lanteigne (Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia/Charles P. Allen) of the RIT women’s hockey team was named the College Hockey America Goaltender of the Week on Monday, for the week ending Nov. 5, 2017. It is Lanteigne’s second weekly honor of the season and third of her RIT career.
Lanteigne made a career-high 50 saves on 51 shots in a 2-1 overtime win over Boston University Saturday. She made 11 saves in the first period, 17 in the second and all 22 shots she faced in the third period before RIT scored on a penalty shot 24 seconds into overtime. Lanteigne is now 3-1-0 on the season with a 2.56 goals against average and a .938 save percentage. Her .938 save percentage is among the national leaders.
RIT returns to action this weekend on the road at 2017 College Hockey America Champion Robert Morris. Friday’s game starts at 7:05 p.m., while Saturday’s contest begins at 3:05 p.m.
