OSWEGO, N.Y. – Buffalo State outshot host Oswego, 33-27, but dropped a 3-0 decision in its first road NEWHL contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Buffalo State outshot the Lakers 14-6 in the first period, but trailed 1-0 after the first 20 minutes of play. Oswego’s goal came 6:08 remaining in the period.
The Lakers struck again with less than one minute left in the second period after stopping 12 Buffalo State shots.
Oswego finished off its scoring with 9:43 left in the third period.
Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) picked up 20 saves in 41 minutes in net and Bri Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY/Mt. Marcy) added four saves in the final 18 minutes.
