Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that forward Brian Ward has been released from his PTO with the AHL’s Utica Comets and has rejoined the Thunder. In addition, defemseman Dylan Olsen has signed a PTO with the AHL’s Binghamton Devils while defenseman Kevin Lough has signed a PTO with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves.

Ward, 25, returns to Adirondack after he appeared in one game in the AHL with Utica. Ward has collected 11 points (5-6-11) from 17 games with Adirondack this season. The Haverhill, MA native skated in 49 games with the Thunder during the 2016-17 season and recorded 49 points (27-22-49) and 65 penalty minutes, with his 27 goals leading the team. Ward has played in nine total AHL games, including eight last season with the Albany Devils where he collected one assist.

Olsen, 26 and Lough, 25, each head to the AHL for the first time this season. Olsen has amassed 10 points (3-7-10) from 20 games played and leads the Thunder with a +5 rating this season. The 6-3 blueliner is a veteran of 215 AHL regular-season games, where he amassed 51 points (13-38-51) with Rockford, San Antonio and Portland. Lough leads all Thunder defensemen with 14 points (2-12-14) this season. The Colgate University product heads to the AHL for the second time in his career, after he appeared in one game last season with the Binghamton Senators.
