COMETS SIGN FORWARD TONY CAMERANESI TO PTO
Utica, NY – Utica Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today that the club has signed forward Tony Cameranesi to a professional tryout contract.
Cameranesi, 24, has dressed in 20 ECHL games this season with the Manchester Monarchs collecting 18 points (4-14-18) and 14 penalty minutes. The Maple Grove, Minnesota native skated in 31 games with the Toronto Marlies last season posting seven points (4-3-7) and eight penalty minutes. The forward also split time with the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL during his rookie campaign after completing four seasons with the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Cameranesi was originally selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fifth round, 130th overall, at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
