COMETS SIGN ARSENEAU TO PTO
Utica, NY – Utica Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today that the club has signed Vincent Arseneau to a professional tryout contract.
Arseneau, 25, has played in 19 ECHL games this season with the Allen Americans tallying a team-high 11 goals with 17 points (11-6-17) and 60 penalty minutes. The Magdalen Islands, Quebec native has appeared in 31 career AHL games posting 104 penalty minutes.
The forward has played on three championship teams, winning two Kelly Cups with the Allen Americans in 2015 and 2016 and a Memorial Cup with the Shawinigan Cataractes in 2012.
COMETS RELEASE FORWARD JOEL LOWRY
Utica, NY – Utica Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today that the club has released forward Joel Lowry from his professional tryout contract.
Lowry, 26, dressed in Wednesday’s 5-2 win against the Toronto Marlies. The forward has appeared in 26 ECHL games this season with the Manchester Monarchs collecting a team-high 29 points (13-16-29) and 17 penalty minutes. The Calgary, Alberta native skated in 40 games with the Ontario Reign last season posting eight points (1-7-8) and 64 penalty minutes.
Lowry was originally selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the fifth round, 140th overall, at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
