POTSDAM, N.Y.-SUNY Potsdam women’s hockey players Anna-Rose Bertin (Marathon, Ontario/Canadian International Hockey Academy) and Delphine Léonard (Montreal, Quebec/Dawson College Prep) have been named to the inaugural All-Northeast Women’s Hockey League second team.
Bertin was second on the team in scoring this season. She registered seven goals and eight assists for 15 points in 24 contests. The senior forward finished her career ranked ninth on the program’s all-time scoring list with 49 points and fourth in goals with 31 in 100 career games.
Léonard makes her second straight all-conference appearance. She was a member of the all-rookie team in the old ECAC West last year. The sophomore defenseman recorded a goal and six assists while logging heavy minutes in 24 contests. In two seasons on Potsdam’s blue line, Léonard has four goals and 13 assists for 17 points in 50 career games.
This season, the Bears were 12-12-2 (4-10-2 NEWHL). They tied the program single-season record for wins and earned their fifth playoff berth in the last seven seasons.
