BOSTON, Mass. – After a three-point weekend last weekend, Alex Wilkinson of the Army West Point hockey team was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week.

The junior defender posted two goals and an assist over that weekend with all three points coming on the Black Knights’ power play. In Friday’s game, Wilkinson scored Army’s two tallies before aiding in the Cadets’ second goal in Saturday’s victory.

Wilkinson is now riding a three-game point streak and ranks second nationally for power play scoring, while being first in defensive scoring in Atlantic Hockey alongside his defensive pair, Dalton MacAfee. The Black Knights’ power play ranks first in Atlantic Hockey with a .312 efficiency.
