UTICA, NY – Senior goaltender Bria Reilly (Hamden, CT/Brewster Academy) of the Utica College women’s ice hockey team has been named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference Women’s North Goaltender of the Week. The honor was announced by the conference offices in Rochester, NY.
Reilly earns the nod for her performance this past weekend in a pair of UCHC wins.
Reilly turned in two spectacular goaltending performances as she shut out King’s College and Wilkes University in her final regular season home weekend. The senior made twelve saves in an 8-0 win over King’s College, then made 30 saves in a 2-0 win over Wilkes. She now has eleven career shutouts to tie for second all-time at Utica alongside Sarah Detwiler. She is two clean sheets away from tying former NWHL goaltender Keira Goin (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Hotchkiss School) for the career mark at Utica.
The playoff-bound Pioneers wrap up the regular season this weekend with conference road games at Elmira and William Smith.
