PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Holy Cross women’s hockey team concluded their season with a 3-0 loss at Providence Saturday afternoon.
The Crusaders end the year at 5-23-5 and 5-20-2 in conference action in their second year as a part of Hockey East. They added four wins and two ties to their overall record from last season and four wins and one tie to their conference mark. They also moved up a spot in the conference standings, after finishing last season in 10th they passed Merrimack to finish in ninth place. The top eight teams make the playoffs in Hockey East.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
With her 26th save today, Jada Brenon became the new Hockey East single-season record holder for saves in conference games. The old record of 815, held by Northeastern’s Marisa Hourihan, had stood since 2005. Brenon set a new mark of 832 with her 42 saves in the game.
Brenon, a sophomore, is a native of Pendleton, NY.
