CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its men’s weekly award winners and Ethan Haider (Clarkson), and Ayrton Martino (Clarkson) have all been honored for the week ending November 28, 2021.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Haider (So. – Maple Grove, Minn.) continued his strong play this weekend, backstopping Clarkson to a a series win at Wisconsin, and extending the unbeaten streak to six straight. He stopped 33 of 34 shots on Friday evening before posting a 31-save shutout on Saturday. It was Haider’s second shutout of the season, and he now leads ECAC Hockey in saves (362), and save percentage (.928).
Rookie of the Week
Martino (Fr. – Toronto, Ont.) earns his second Player of the Week honor of the young season after scoring or assisting on half of Clarkson’s goals this weekend. In a defensive weekend that saw just five goals combined, Martino started the scoring on Saturday (the eventual game-winner), and assisted later in the 3-0 Golden Knights win. He finished the weekend +2 with four shots on goal.
