Art enthusiasts will be able to get up close and personal with more than 50 of Queensland’s premier and up-and-coming artists exhibiting at the Crowne Plaza Resort, Pelican Waters, Caloundra with more than 300 artworks on display at the end of this month.
The ‘Art at the Crowne’ event will open its doors on Friday 25th July at 5pm
and will continue over 3 days continue concluding 4pm Sunday 27th.
The exhibition will provide the opportunity to meet featured artists in an informal environment and will showcase a wide range of work available for sale, encompassing painting (in all mediums), photography and sculpture.
This exhibition is not just for the up coming artists as it also features work from prominent professional artists. Several multi-award-winning artists will also be exhibiting during the show, including Barry Green, Sandra Conte, Rod McArter, Peter Heuscher, Hetty Doyle, Vicki Mullins, Glenis Gray and many more.
The public is invited to join the artists at the exhibition party on Saturday 26th July with refreshments available from 8pm.
Brisbane based artist and organiser of the event Vicki Mullins says the diverse selection of artists will cater to a variety of genres and budgets. “The exhibition features over 300 works so you’re sure to find something to suit your taste and budget,” Vicki Mullins says.
While this is only Vicki’s’ second exhibition as an organiser, she is no stranger to the art scene, having showcased her work over the last two years as an emerging artist. “I wanted to provide an opportunity for artists to display their work and promote the local art community, as it was organised as a not-for-profit event it has encouraged a wider variety of artists that would not normally exhibit.” she says. “Having experienced it first-hand myself, I know how expensive it can be just to get your work out there.
The “Art at the Crowne” Exhibition will be open from Friday 25th 5pm until Sunday 27th 4pm. Opening hours are from 9am till late every night and admission is free to the event and the exhibition party Saturday night.
