Aerin Frankel

Aerin Frankel, Goaltender, Briarcliff Manor

The Goaltender is a native of Briarcliff Manor; attended Horace Greeley High School and St. Mary’s Shattuck. She helped STS to three USA championships. At Northeastern she started and played in 139 games with a 1.31 GAA; made 3,349 saves with a .949.5 save percentabe and went 103-22-10 with 39 shutouts. She is the 2021 recipient of the Patty Kazmaier Award, of which she was a top finalist for two years. 

Abbey Levy

Abbey Levy, Goaltender, Congers

This goaltender comes from Congers and played most recently for Boston College. She was a finalist in 2022 for the National Goaltender of the Year. Prior to Boston she played at Minnesota State where she started in 56 games and went 9-18-7 as a freshman; 5-12-3 her sophomore year and then in her Jr. year at Bosston was 6-4-0 and in her senior year was 18-14-1.

Kiara Zanon

Kiara Zanon, Forward, Fairport

This Fairport native was Penn States first-ever AHCA Rookie of the Year in 20-21 and the First Penn State CHA Player of the Year, that same year.

She had 39 points in 20-21 and 30 in 21-22, ranking her nationally in assists per game. She played for Team USA in th 2020 IIHF World Jr. Championship, taking the gold in 2020 and the silver in 2019.l

Emma Seitz

Emma Seitz, Defense, New York

Coming from New York City Seitz attended Hunter College High School and then went on to Yale University. She had her first collegiate point in a 5-1 over Clarkson as a freshman. As a sophomore she was second on the team in assists at 20, adding in 6 goals for a 26 point season. With the pandemic she wasn’t in school for her sophomore year but came back in 21-22 leading all D players at Yale and second in the nation with 14 goals. She played for Team USA U18 vs Canada with a point in each game. She also played a season with the Ct. Polar Bears and three seasons with the New Jersey Colonials.

Haley Winn

Haley Winn, Defense, Rochester

A native of Rochester, Winn played for the Selects Academy at Bishop Kearney for four seasons, was a member of Team USA U18 that took the silver in 2019 and gold in 2020. At Clarkson she went 7-16-23.

Hayley Scamurra

Hayley Scamurra, Forward, Getzville

This Getzville native was a standout player for Northeastern University where she played 123 games with 111 points in four seasons. She has also played for the Ontario Junior Womens League with the Oakville Jr. Hornets and the Burlington Barracudas. At Northeastern she was named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Year in her freshman season; was third in goals in a short season in her sophomore year; had 43 points and a +43 in her junior year and in her senior year had 8 goals and 23 assists. She was named Best Defensive Forward her senior year. She was drafted in 2016 by the NWHL Buffalo Beauts and in 2017-18 led the team in goals and tield for points. She led the league in scoring in 2018-19, was named to Team USA in 2019 and in 2022 named to Team USA and played in the Olympics. In 2020-21 she moved the the PWHPA.

Sydney Bard

Sydney Bard, Defense, New Hartford (#7 white)

Bard comes from New Hartford and played at Colgate College. She also played for the Toronto Aeros of the PWHL. During her years at Colgate she had 51 points last season; 8 in 20-21 and 16 in 19-20.

Emily Matheson

Emily Matheson, Defense, Buffalo

This Getsville native began attending USA Hockey Camps when she was 14 years old. She played at Boston College where she was the first defender to reach 100 career points. She played for the Mississauga Chiefs and became the first captain of the NWHL Buffalo Beauts, where she played from 2015-17. As a member of Team USA she took the gold at the 2015 and 2016 IIHF Women’s Worlds and was on the 2018 Olympic Team that took the gold after shoot-out with Canada. (We all know her as Emily Pflazer.)

Natalie Buchbinder

Natalie Buchbinder, Defense, Fairport

A native of Fairport, Buchbinder’s career took her to Shattuck St.Mary’s and the University of Wisconsin. She helped SSM to championships in 2015 and 2016. AT U of W she played in all 38 games her freshman year with a goal and 5 assists but was fourth on the team with 38 blocks. The following year she helped the team to a National Championship with two goals and 12 assists. That team allowed no goals in the NCAA post season play. 2019-20 was a short season and in 20-21 she played in 36 games with a goal and 15 assists. She was reshirted in 21-22 so she could play for Team USA in the My Why Tour. 

Maureen Murphy

Maureen Murphy, Forward, Buffalo (#24 white)

Murphy comes from the WNY area, specifically Buffalo, but headed to play her high school hockey at Shattuck St. Mary’s. She lead the team with 48 goals and 43 assists. She headed to Providence College for three seasons, with an especially great season in her sophomore year with 22 goals/21 assists/43 points/192 shots/+27–first on the team in all categories. It was a shortened season at Providence in her junior year due to injury but she still managed to go 4/4 in 11 games. Last season at Northeastern University she had 7 goals and 11 assists.
