Seven new player contracts announced Nov. 13-17 brings total roster count to 83

TORONTO, ON- Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) teams continued signing players and announcing contracts during the first week of training camps for the inaugural season. Seven signings were announced by teams during the period of November 13-17, bringing the league’s total contract count to 83. This figure consists of 60 PWHL Draft picks, five undrafted free agents, and 18 players who were signed during the league’s initial free agency period.
Montreal officially locked up four players including first round pick Erin Ambrose to a three-year deal, plus one-year agreements for draft selections Ann-Sophie Bettez, Claire Dalton, and free agent Sarah Bujold. Toronto signed fourth rounder Natalie Spooner to a two-year deal and Hannah Miller to a one-year contract, while New York added Chloé Aurard, a member of France’s National Women’s Team, to a two-year commitment.
The total announced contract count by team currently stands at Boston with 19, followed by Ottawa with 17, New York and Toronto both with 15, Montreal with 10, and Minnesota with seven signed players.
