ALBANY, NY – The American Hockey League has announced the 2015-16 Albany Devils schedule. The team will play all 38 home games at Times Union Center, including the Home Opener on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 5:05 pm against the Portland Pirates. The Devils begin the road portion of their schedule against the Binghamton Senators on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7:05 pm.
Twenty-six of the Devils home games will be played during the weekend: seven Friday outings, 12 Saturday fixtures and seven Sunday matches. Start times at Times Union Center include 7:00 pm puck drops for all midweek home games and Friday contests. Besides the Home Opener and a 2:00 pm start against the St. John’s IceCaps on Jan. 23, all Saturday games will start at 5:00 pm. The team’s Sunday matches will begin at 3:00 pm except the Dec. 6 outing against the Syracuse Crunch, which will begin at 5:00 pm.
The Devils longest homestands come during two five game stints between Oct. 24 and Nov. 1, and Jan. 20 and Jan. 29. The team will participate in a season-long six game road trip between Feb. 26 and Mar. 11.
Under the league’s scheduling matrix, Albany will face North Division opponents Binghamton, St. John’s and Utica eight times each and Rochester, Syracuse and Toronto six times apiece.
