ALBANY, NY – The Albany Devils 2016-17 promotional schedule is set and includes the established fan favorites with the addition of new giveaways and theme nights. “Throwback Nights” highlight this year’s calendar when the Devils will wear special “River Rats” jerseys on Saturday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Mar. 25, paying tribute to the hockey heritage of the Capital Region.
During the Home Opener on Saturday, Oct. 15, the first 5,000 fans will receive a free magnet schedule (courtesy of CDTA). Other giveaways include a Devils’ goalie mini stick on Saturday, Dec. 10, a player bobblehead (presented by Yankee Trail) on Saturday, Feb. 18 and a Devils/River Rats’ water bottle (courtesy of the Times Union) on Saturday, Mar. 25.
The Devils will offer special ticket deals with a $10 “Holiday Special” on Monday, Dec. 26 and $17 tickets for when the team rings in 2017 on Sunday, Jan. 1. Fans can take advantage of a “Two for Tuesday” offer on Tuesday, Feb. 7 where fans who purchase a regularly priced ticket will receive a complementary ticket to the Wednesday, Mar. 22 contest.
New this year, fans can take advantage of “Guys Night Out” on Friday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Feb. 17 and “Ladies Night” on Friday, Feb. 3 and Friday, Mar. 24. All four nights include a buy-one-get-one-half-off offer and a “Happy Hour” with $4 drafts between 6 pm and the end of the first period.
In addition to the “Throwback Nights,” the Devils will wind back the clock for “70’s Night” on Friday, Jan. 13, “80’s Night” on Friday, Oct. 28 and “Party Like It’s 1999” on Friday, Dec. 30.
The team will host two postgame autograph sessions and two coinciding poster giveaways on Sunday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Apr. 2. Military Appreciation Night on Sunday, Apr. 2 and Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, Apr. 15 highlight the final month of the regular season.
All midweek and Friday games include and a “Happy Hour” with $4 drafts between 6 pm and the end of the first period and “Dollar Dawgs” with $1 hot dogs and $1 sodas.
“SEFCU College Nights” return for the seventh consecutive year, featuring $10 tickets for college students who show appropriate identification at the box office during midweek and Friday matches.
