(Rochester, NY) – The Rochester Americans announced today that annual Wendy’s Skate with the Amerks event has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, March 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. outdoors at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square.
The event was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 16, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
Fans that wish to attend can pick up a free pass at the following Monroe County Wendy’s location while supplies last as the City of Rochester is offering free admission for the event: 1550 Mt. Hope Ave.; 987 Ridge Rd., Webster; and 2980 W. Ridge Rd, Greece. A limited number will also be available at the Member Services counter at upcoming Amerks home games.
Those who have already obtained skate passes from area Wendy’s locations are encouraged to keep them and use them for the March 9 skate date as new passes will not be issued. Passes are still available upon request on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, as each location has a limited quantity for distribution. Fans must have a pass to attend, and each pass admits one person. Skates and helmets are also required.
Amerks players will be in attendance at the skate to sign autographs and pose for photos.
