(Rochester, NY) – The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has recalled forward Allan McPherson from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
McPherson, 24, has recorded 32 points (16+16) and 12 penalty minutes in 25 games this season with Elmira to rank second on the team in scoring. He has also appeared in 15 games with the Amerks this year, scoring one goal. Last season as a rookie, McPherson recorded eight points (3+5) and four penalty minutes in 44 AHL games with the Amerks, as well as 23 points (8+15) and 18 penalty minutes in 24 ECHL games with Elmira. Prior to his professional career, 5-foot-10, 180-pound native of Kinburn, Ontario, played four seasons at Clarkson University.
